Designing the first onchain experience

Explain the context before and after connection so users understand their next action.

Explain the purpose before connecting

An onchain service’s first screen should provide context for action. Help visitors understand what they can do now and why that action matters.

Show the purpose and journey before asking for a wallet connection. Distinguish information available to explore from actions that require connection so users can continue when ready.

Design the moments that do not complete

Separate actions such as approval and execution in the copy. In pending, completed, cancelled and failed states, explain what happened and what users can do next.

Quality extends beyond the success screen. Include the moments when users stop or go back, and make supported recovery and help paths available within the same journey.
